Media Lab > Solidarity is an educational and interactive program aimed at developing media literacy courses for young people and acquiring skills that help combat misinformation, polarization, and generational conflict.

Who is the event for?
Local leaders and youth activists, students and journalists, local and international disinformation experts, journalists, communication specialists, experts, activists and influential persons can also participate.

About the Organizer: New East is a Latvian non-profit, non-governmental organization that works to increase sustainability in the areas of media literacy, disinformation, cultural, media, civic and grassroots activities by empowering civil societies to become active participants in educational activities themselves.

1. Three lectures and workshops from leading experts, analysts and journalists.

2. Three individual assignments for program participants.

3. Program closing and winners announcement. More than 1,000 euros in prizes.

Participants will be able to learn more about how disinformation works in a playful and easy way, to understand the design of disinformation, to understand how propaganda affects polarization and generational conflict in the Baltic.

Participants will be able to learn more about how disinformation works in a playful and easy way, to understand the design of disinformation, to understand how propaganda affects polarization and generational conflict in the Baltic.

Disinformation experts from Latvia, Lithuania and other countries will engage the audience in an informal process of researching our society through media analysis. And most importantly, each participant will have the opportunity to compete for the grand prize in creative and short research assignments.
